N.J. Town’s Police Union Votes No-Confidence In Chief Over Salaries, Leadership

Members of the West Essex Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local #81 voted no confidence in Fairfield Police Chief Anthony Manna, citing concerns over his leadership style and recent remarks tied to salary disputes.

The Nov. 13 vote had 35 members voting in favor of the measure, with three opposed and two abstaining. The union represents all full-time police officers, corporals, sergeants, lieutenants, and captains in the township’s police department.
