Albuquerque, N.M. — Raises for paramedics and firefighters in Albuquerque have taken effect after their union reached a three-year contract with the city.
The city and the IAFF Local 244 union agreed to a three-year contract in July 2024. According to the city, the contract produced pay raises and expanded benefits for firefighters and paramedics. In fact, paramedics are getting a 15% raise with this contract.
