GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, MI – The fire chief at the Grand Blanc Township Fire Department is on administrative leave, and Tuesday night, he could be fired.
Unions representing the full-time and part-time firefighters working under Chief Jamie Jent are backing their boss to keep his job.
Alex Newton, the president of the Michigan Association of Firefighter’s Union (MAFF) Local 1137 said he thinks morale will tank if the fire chief is sacked.
