Rochester, N.Y — Nearly half of those fired during the illegal statewide correctional officer’s strike earlier this year have applied to potentially get their jobs back.
Around 3,300 formal complaints have been filed by correctional officers who were fired March 11, according to James Miller, director of public relations for the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association.
